About

Sam Doyle in a library

I’m Sam Doyle, and I write Human Mind Guide.

My experience in decision-making and managing people made me interested in how we make decisions, how we process situations, which thinking errors we commonly make, and how to help people think better, a task I have specialized in over the last ten years.

I’m not a therapist, and this is not therapy. Every guide is built on research I read carefully, and each one aims to leave you with something you can use the same day.

If any of my messages helps you think a little more clearly, this newsletter has done its job.

What you will find here

The guides are organized in five learning paths. Each one starts with a main guide and goes deeper step by step:

  • Decisions: how to choose well and stand behind your choices.
  • Problem solving: how to face a problem instead of circling it.
  • Overthinking: how to turn loops of thought into something useful, or put them down.
  • Focus: how to protect your attention in a distracted world.
  • Resilience: how to recover from setbacks and talk to yourself more fairly.

A new guide is published every week, and the newsletter brings one clear idea to your inbox every Monday.
